I think they're a great band but i can't seem to really like them. I've tried to listen to their albums many times, Dookie was probably one of the first punk cd i ever listened to (thanks to my older cousins) but i just can't But i'm not gonna lie, they're pretty awesome

beside dookie and american idiot, i dont like anything else. i used to like em, but blink 182 has always been the band that is all around good to me.
ill be honest, green day has done a lot of great stuff, but like blink 182, some of their earlier albums were shit. just my opinion tho, dont take offense.

I grew up listening to Green Day because my dad listened to them all the time. American Idiot was such a big deal to me when it came out, but Nimrod is probably my favorite album of theirs.
Also I have to add that, those guys put on the best live show I have ever seen. The energy you feel from the band and the crowd (from my experience anyway) is beyond incredible.

I go through phases of liking Green Day. After a good 9 or so years of listening to them, I finally got around to seeing them this summer. Unfortunately, I left pretty disappointed.
blink-182 > Green Day

There was about 1/3 of the set that I enjoyed. It seemed 2/3 of the show was American Idiot or 21st Century Breakdown material, which I'm not too fond of.

i didn't really get into 21st century breakdown at all, but i went on the american idiot tour so there wasn't any of that, and they played mostly old songs. and billie joe flashed the audiance. and i was 10. and with my dad.

I really wish I could have seen them on the Pop Disaster Tour in 2002 with blink-182. I wanted to go so bad , but my dad said I was too young. I would have been 11 years old.
I ended up getting to see blink for the first time just a little over a year later when I was 12, though. Now I've finally seen Green Day for the first time at age 19, haha.
